The Mount to Host Third Around the Mount Triathlon Mount St. Mary’s University is proud to host the third annual Around the Mount Triathlon, on Saturday April 30, 2016. This triathlon race combines a 300-meter swim in the PNC Athletics Complex Swimming Pool, a 12.8-mile bike ride around the University’s East Campus and surrounding area, and a 5 kilometer run—garnering over 200 participants and 100 volunteers in support of Mount Athletics. Post-race refreshments will be available and participant medals will be given upon crossing the finish line. Prizes will be awarded to the top finisher in the following categories: overall male, overall female, each age group and overall team. All athletes are welcome and encouraged to participate, including: alumni, members of the Mount community and students. The race is open to the public and designed for all levels of triathletes, and registration is open for individuals and teams. Please visit www.msmary.edu/triathlon for more information.
