Catholic Charities celebrates Christmas all December with the free gift of ‘Comfort & Joy’

‘Tis the season for Christmas trees adorned with candy canes and stars, boughs of holly, Christmas lights, and plenty of Christmas carolers. To make the season even more fun, Catholic Charities is once again bringing the gift of “Comfort & Joy” to Baltimore – the free holiday gift filled with cheer.

Throughout December, Catholic Charities is providing free daily gifts including holiday-themed games and trivia, mini-concerts from local standouts such as The Baltimore Ravens Marching Ravens Band, a live music concert featuring Baltimore legend Ursula Ricks, and interactive baking challenges by presenting sponsor McCormick & Company, according to a Catholic Charities’ news release.

The Christmas gifts and celebrations will be delivered virtually at comfortandjoy2022.org. The Ricks concert will be held Dec. 3, 10 a.m to noon at Rash Field. In addition to soulful musical selections, the Christmas Village will be buzzing with activity from the German-inspired Christmas market filled with hot chocolate for all, and the aroma of hot waffles and gingerbread treats.

Editor’s note: The Dec. 3 event at Rash Field was canceled due to a forecast of inclement weather.
