Emmet Cahill to perform in Baynesville

Emmet Cahill, an Irish tenor featured in the Celtic Thunder singing group, will perform a special “Christmas in Ireland” concert Dec. 4 at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Baynesville.

Cahill, who recently made his sold-out debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall, is a native of Mullingar, Ireland. His renditions of “O Holy Night,” “Danny Boy,” “Joy To The World,” and “I’ll be Home for Christmas” are beloved by many around the world.

Tomas Bozek, director of music at Immaculate Heart of Mary, called the concert an “exciting event” for the parish.

“Emmet is a national and international performer,” Bozek said. “His concerts are held all over the U.S. – East and West coasts and in between.”

Bozek noted that Cahill has twice before performed at the parish, with both concerts selling out.

The concert begins at 4 p.m. General admission is $35. VIP tickets are available for $50, which allow concert-goers to enjoy a “meet-and-greet” and personal photo beginning at 2:30 p.m.
