Catholic Charities of Baltimore has never missed a day of serving meals at Our Daily Bread in almost 40 years. The coronavirus pandemic forced the agency – the largest nongovernmental service provider in Maryland – to charge the way it serves meals, works with volunteers and serves the poor and elderly.
Christopher Gunty talks with Bill McCarthy Jr., Catholic Charities executive director, about how the agency has responded to the increased needs during the pandemic and how Catholic Charities continues to fight systemic poverty.
