On the Oct. 18 issue of Catholic Review Radio, John-Mark Miravalle spoke about his new book, “How to Feel Good and How Not To: The Ethics of Using Marijuana, Alcohol, Anti-depressant and Other Mood Altering Drugs” by Sophia Press. The interview explores how Catholics look at the morality of recreational drug use and how it differs from using alcohol in moderation. Miravalle speaks of how true leisure isn’t escapism, but entering more fully into reality.
Miravalle is a professor of systematic and moral theology at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg. He received his doctorate of sacred theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorem in Rome. Listen to the full interview below.
