Archbishop Lori announces clergy appointments

Archbishop William E. Lori announced the following appointments:

RETIREMENT

Rev. Gregory Rapisarda

From Associate Pastor, Pastorate of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Dundalk, and St. Luke Parish, Edgemere, to Retirement, while continuing to serve as part-time Catholic Chaplain to Johns Hopkins Hospital – Bayview. Effective July 1.

ADMINISTRATOR

Rev. Kevin Ewing

From Chaplain, Towson University Newman Center, to Administrator, Catholic Community of South Baltimore. Effective June 5.

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Rev. Robert Katafiasz

From Associate Pastor, Pastorate of Christ the King Parish, Glen Burnie, and St. Bernadette Parish, Severn, to Associate Pastor, Pastorate of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Dundalk, and St. Luke Parish, Edgemere. Effective July 1.

ORDINANDI – Those to be ordained priests June 24.

Rev. Daniel Acquard

To Associate Pastor, St. Margaret Parish, Bel Air. Effective July 1.

Rev. John Bilenki

To Associate Pastor (summer), Immaculate Conception Parish, Towson, before resuming advanced theological studies in Rome. Effective July 1.

Rev. Javier Fuentes

To Associate Pastor, Pastorate of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Frederick, and St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Parish, Buckeystown. Effective July 1.

Rev. Paul Kongnyuy

To Associate Pastor, Pastorate of Resurrection and St. Paul Parishes, Ellicott City. Effective July 1.

Rev. Luke Koski

To Associate Pastor, Pastorate of Christ the King Parish, Glen Burnie, and St. Bernadette Parish, Severn, and Chaplain, Archbishop Spalding High School, Severn. Effective July 1. 

Rev. Felix Mmuoh

To Associate Pastor, St. Joseph Parish, Fullerton. Effective July 1.

Rev. Nicholas Mwai

To Associate Pastor, Immaculate Conception Parish, Towson. Effective July 1.

Rev. Sampson Onwumere

To Associate Pastor, Pastorate of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Essex, and St. Clare Parish, Essex. Effective July 1.

DEACONS

Deacon Scott Anderson 

From Diaconal Ministry, Pastorate of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Frederick, and St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Parish, Buckeystown, to Diaconal Ministry, Pastorate of St. Francis-St. Mary and Holy Family, Middletown.  Effective July 1.

Deacon Michael Dvorak 

From Diaconal Ministry, St. Joseph Parish, Sykesville, to Diaconal Ministry, St. Peter Parish, Libertytown. Effective July 1.

Deacon Manuel Hernandez-Jovel

From Diaconal Ministry, Pastorate of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Frederick, and St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor, Buckeystown, to Diaconal Ministry, St. Timothy Parish, Walkersville, while continuing to serve at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Parishes. Effective July 1.

Deacon Timothy Maloney 

From Diaconal Ministry, St. Mark Parish, Fallston, and Archbishop Curley High School, to Diaconal Ministry at St. Joseph Parish, Fullerton, and the Catholic Committee on Scouting while continuing at Archbishop Curley High School. Effective July 1.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Rev. Joshua Laws

From Pastor, Catholic Community of South Baltimore, to Voluntary Leave of Absence. Effective June 5.
