In spare black-and-white lines – almost graffiti-like in their directness – Matisse grouped all 14 Stations together in an expansive mural more than six feet tall.

As a cast member in the touring production of “Wicked,” Baltimore native Melissa Victor wears costumes with exaggerated bustles and outlandish hats. She also wore the biggest smile of all during her curtain calls in Baltimore, blowing kisses to loved ones in the audience. 

Well more than 1,000 people of all ages reverently filed past the relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux during a two-day stop in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

More than 1,500 people venerated the skull of St. Thomas Aquinas at Ss. Philip and James in Homewood Dec. 17-18. The Dominican-led parish was the final stop of a tour sponsored by the Dominican Province of St. Joseph that included visits to 11 sites in seven states and the District of Columbia.

As part of renovation of the church at St. Joseph in Cockeysville, a pipe organ constructed by Peragallo Organ Company in Paterson, N.J., was installed over the summer of 2024. The magnificent instrument includes 2,172 pipes.

Autumn Marlow is the first student in the Dr. Sandy Ortega Flight Academy, a new enrichment program offered at St. Frances Academy in East Baltimore.

Two days after Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh filed a motion in court to allow release of a report on sexual abuse by clergy in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Archbishop William E. Lori addressed the topic in his homily at the vigil Mass at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Homeland.

The Archdiocese of Baltimore ordained nine men May 21 to the diaconate, the final step for them before they expect to be ordained to the priesthood next year.
