A Washington, D.C., native, Sister Georgellen taught at The Catholic High School of Baltimore, 1947-48, the same year she entered the Sisters of St. Francis.

Sister Marie Sulpice Walsh was a former principal of St. Mark School, 1965-71; and Notre Dame Preparatory’s Lower School in Towson, 1972-79.

Known as “Sister Kate,” the Sister of Mercy led Immaculate Heart of Mary School for 15 years and then served as pastoral associate in northeast Baltimore.

A funeral Mass was offered Feb. 22 for Mission Helper of the Sacred Heart Sister Anne Guinan in the Stella Maris Chapel. Sister Anne died Feb. 13 at 92.

A funeral Mass was offered for Sister of Mercy Joan Dumm Jan. 18 at the Stella Maris Chapel in Timonium. A beloved member of the St. Joseph School in Cockeysville community, she was known as the authority on preparing students for their first Communion. Sister Joan died Jan. 13.

A funeral Mass was offered for Sister, Servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary M. Bernardus Dwyer Jan. 31 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She died Jan. 27 at age 93.

A funeral Mass was offered for Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Sister Mary Clement Hemler Dec. 29, 2018, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg.
