As 2022 comes to a close, Catholic Review Editor talks with Baltimore Archbishop William E. Lori about a variety of topics, including the archbishop’s visit to Ukraine, the church’s project to look at the ministry and footprint of the church in Baltimore City and much more. Regarding the upcoming report from the Maryland attorney general about clergy sexual abuse, the archbishop reiterates his apology to those who have been harmed and says, “Our apology means something because we have really tried to eliminate, as far as is humanly possible, sexual abuse from our ranks.” Archbishop Lori also shares his Christmas prayer for the archdiocese and his blessing.
