Sister Christopher Marie Wagner, O.S.F., dies at 76 April 24, 2023By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Feature, Local News, News, Obituaries An 11 a.m. funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister Christopher Marie Wagner will be offered April 28 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Christopher died April 20. She was 76 and had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 56 years. Sister Christopher was born Loretta Florence in Baltimore, where she was a member of St. Anthony Parish and a graduate of The Catholic High School of Baltimore. She entered the congregation in 1964 and professed her first vows in 1967. She earned a bachelor’s degree in French from Neumann University (then Our Lady of Angels College) and a master’s degree in fine arts from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.. In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Sister Christopher served at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Essex and The Catholic High School of Baltimore. She also served in the Archdiocese of Washington and more than four decades in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
