Brother Eric J. Henderson, F.S.C., dies at 82

A funeral Mass for Christian Brother Eric J. Henderson was offered Feb. 21 at Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. Brother Eric died Feb. 13. He was 82.

Born Charles Joseph Henderson in Pittsburgh, Brother Eric received the religious name of Eric Borromeo in 1960. He pronounced his perpetual vows as a Christian Brother in Adamstown, Md., in 1967.

Brother Eric taught at Bishop Walsh High School in Cumberland from 1973 to 1982 and 1999 to 2011. Elsewhere, he served in Pennsylvania, New Mexico and New Jersey.
