Brother Steven Casale, F.S.C., dies at 81

A funeral Mass for Christian Brother Steven Casale was offered Sept. 1 at La Salle University in Philadelphia. Brother Steven died Aug. 29 in Philadelphia. He was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, Brother Steven entered the Christian Brothers in 1958. He served as an educator at La Salle High School in Cumberland from 1963 to 1964 and St. Frances Academy in Baltimore from 1987 to 1988. He also served in Pennsylvania, New Mexico and New Jersey.

A graduate of La Salle College, he held a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in religion.
