A funeral Mass was offered for Sister of Mercy Joan Dumm Jan. 18 at the Stella Maris Chapel in Timonium. A beloved member of the St. Joseph School in Cockeysville community, she was known as the authority on preparing students for their first Communion. Sister Joan died Jan. 13.

Sister, Servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Barbara D’Auria (formerly known as Sister M. Darius) was a former teacher at St. Rita School in Dundalk.

A funeral Mass was offered for Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Sister Mary Clement Hemler Dec. 29, 2018, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg.

A funeral Mass was offered for School Sister of Notre Dame Mary Constance “Connie” Baker Jan. 11 at Villa Assumpta in Baltimore. She died Dec. 29, 2018, at age 75.

A native of New York, Sister Mary Patricia entered the Daughters of Charity in 1952, and served as a teacher at St. John School in Baltimore, 1953-55.

Sister Jamesann served as a teacher in schools in Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Florida, Maryland, Peru and in the Archdiocese of Baltimore at St. Rita Elementary School in Dundalk from 1983 to 86.
