Catholic schoolteachers’ job fair set for March 10

Anyone interested in teaching in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore should mark March 10 on the calendar. That’s when the archdiocese will host a teachers’ job fair from 9 a.m. to noon at Immaculate Conception School in Towson. Principals and representatives from archdiocesan elementary and high schools will be on site to meet with those in attendance.

Teachers from a wide range of disciplines are being sought, including English, math, science, social studies, language arts, technology, religion and more.  Education majors along with those who are not currently certified are encouraged to attend.

“Catholic schoolteachers are members of a vitally important profession,” said Lauren Robinson, director of marketing for the Division of Catholic Schools. “They are qualified professionals committed to bringing out the very best in their students as they grow in knowledge, skills and values. Most important, they are the heart and soul of their school and serve as role models who share their Catholic faith, talents and values.”

Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic schools enroll more than 25,000 students. There are currently 45 elementary and middle schools, and 19 high schools spread throughout the archdiocese, which includes Baltimore City, Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard and Washington Counties.
