A funeral Mass for Society of Christ Father Robert Wojsław will be offered at 11 a.m. on July 18 at Holy Rosary in Fells Point. Father Wojsław died suddenly July 14. He was 52.

For the last two years, Father Wojsław was in residence at Holy Rosary in Fells Point, where he assisted in parish ministry. Elsewhere, he served in Poland, Canada, California, Illinois and Georgia.

Born in Nowy Sącz, Poland, Father Wojsław joined the Society of Christ, a religious society that ministers to the Polish diaspora around the world, after graduating from high school in 1993. He made his first profession on Sept. 29, 1994. He then began his philosophical and theological studies at the Society’s Major Seminary in Poznań. He made his perpetual profession in Poznań in 1999, the same year he was ordained a transitional deacon. He was ordained a priest on May 23, 2000, by Archbishop Juliusz Paetz, then Metropolitan of Poznań.

Father Wojsław will be buried in Poland.
