Father Vanyo died June 5. He was 88. Born in Annapolis, Father Vanyo made his first profession of religious vows as a Redemptorist of the Baltimore Province in 1957. He was ordained a priest June 17, 1962. Father Vanyo served as a missionary to Brazil throughout his priesthood, building churches and providing pastoral ministry. Beginning in 2011 Father Vanyo was the chaplain of the Sisters of the Copious Redemption.
