Sister Ann Belz dies at 88 July 13, 2025By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries A funeral Mass for Sister Ann Belz of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, was offered July 9 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Dunmore, Pa. Sister Ann (formerly Sister Mary Lourdes) died July 4. She was 88. Born in Baltimore and given the name Ann Elizabeth, Sister Ann entered the IHM Congregation on Sept. 7, 1955, made temporary profession of her vows on March 13, 1958, and final profession of her vows on June 22, 1963. Sister Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Marywood College and a master’s degree in music education from Indiana University. Sister Ann served as a teacher at St. Agnes School in Catonsville from 1970 to 1972.
