Sister M. Isabel Schratwieser, IHM, dies at 97

Sister M. Isabel Schratwieser, 97, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died July 16 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton. She was a former teacher at St. Bernardine School in Baltimore from 1949 to 1950.

Sister Isabel was born in East Rockaway, NY, and given the name Helen. She entered the IHM Congregation on Feb. 1, 1947 and made her temporary profession of vows on Aug.t 2, 1949 and her final profession of vows on Aug. 2, 1952.

In addition to teaching in Baltimore, she taught or ministered in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware.

Due to the restrictions related to the coronavirus, there was a private graveside service only.
