Sister Mary Barbara Campbell, I.H.M., dies at 95 January 4, 2023By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries Sister Mary Barbara Campbell, a member of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, died Dec. 29 in Scranton, Pa. Sister Mary Barbara, formerly known as Sister Mary Josella, was 95. Born in Pittston, Pa., Sister Mary Barbara entered the IHM congregation in 1946, professing final vows in 1952. She held a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in secondary counseling education, both from Marywood College in Scranton. Sister Mary Barbara taught at St. Bernardine School in Baltimore from 1949 to 1952. Elsewhere, she served in Pennsylvania and New York. The funeral will be private because of coronavirus restrictions.
