Sister Rita Ann Naughton, I.H.M., dies at 88 July 31, 2025By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries A funeral Mass for Sister Rita Ann Naughton (formerly known as Sister Mary Sarto) of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be offered Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Dunmore, Pa. Sister Rita Ann died July 23. She was 88. Born in Williamsport, Pa., Sister Rita Ann entered the IHM Congregation on Sept. 8, 1955, made temporary profession of her vows on March 13, 1958, and final profession of her vows on June 22, 1963. Sister Rita Ann received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in religious education, both from Marywood College in Pennsylvania. Sister Rita Ann taught at St. Agnes Elementary School in Catonsville from 1969 to 1971.
