New Josephite priest and leadership team July 6, 2007By Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News Father Godwin Sochukwuma Ani, S.S.J., was ordained on May 19 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Washington D.C. Father Sochukwuma came to the United States from Nigeria in 2000 to study for the priesthood with the Josephite Priests and Brothers. His pastoral ministry assignments in the United States have included St. Francis Xavier, Baltimore. He also served in Louisiana, Texas and California. At Corpus Chrisiti, New Orleans, six men professed their first promises as Josephites on the Feast of Corpus Chrisit, June 10. The men include Anthony Chukwuemeka AniChukwu from Nigeria, Christopher Chike Amadi from Nigeria, Michael Okechukwu from Nigeria, Ugochyukwu Jerome Cletus from Nigeria, Etido Samuel Jerome from Nigeria and Reverend Anthony Bozeman, a priest from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. At the Josephite general Conference, June 18-22, the Josephite fathers and brothers elected their new leadership team. The executive team includes Father Edward Chiffriller, S.S.J., Superior General; Father Roger Caesar, S.S.J., Vicar General and Father John Harfmann, S.S.J., Consultor General. Serving along with the executive team are four area directors, Father Donald Fest S.S.J., for area one which includes the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Washington, Abuja (Nigeria) and the diocese of Arlington Virginia and Ijebu-Ode (Nigeria); Father Brian Fox, S.S.J., for area two composed of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and Mobile and the diocese of Birmingham and Biloxi. Father James Fallon, S.S.J., will serve area three including the diocese of Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Jackson; Father Henry Davis will serve area four which includes the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and Galveston-Houston and the diocese of Beaumont. They will serve until 2011. Print
