Lori will celebrate a special 5 p.m. Mass May 7 at St. Peter the Apostle in Libertytown for the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, observed May 7-8. Father Steven Roth, archdiocesan vocations director, will preach a homily about vocations, and the liturgy will be followed by a light reception where people can meet the archbishop and seminarians studying to become priests for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. World Day of Prayer for Vocations is an annual event held on “Good Shepherd Sunday” when the Gospel reading focuses on Christ as the good shepherd. Catholics across the globe are asked to pray in a special way for people to respond to the call to the priesthood and religious life.
