A total of 2,250 students graduated this year from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, marking an increase from 2,156 last year and continuing a steady trend of strong academic achievement across the system.

The Class of 2026 is 45 percent female and 55 percent male. Graduates will continue their studies or training in 42 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in seven other countries: England, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Scotland and Spain.

A strong majority of graduates – 95.8 percent – will attend a college or university. Another 1.8 percent will pursue trade or vocational training, while 2.2 percent will enter the military.

More than half of graduates, 53 percent, finished their high school careers on the honor roll.

Military commitments this year include students from several schools earning service academy appointments and ROTC scholarships. Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville reported its third consecutive year of a student matriculating to the U.S. Naval Academy. Mount St. Joseph High School in Irvington had four ROTC scholarships awarded and one appointment to the Naval Academy. At Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, three students will attend the Naval Academy and three will participate in ROTC programs. At St. John’s Catholic Prep in Buckeystown, a student will attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Fells Point reported that the Class of 2026 stands out for being the largest class on the honor roll.

Legacy traditions continued at several schools. Mercy High School in Baltimore reported five triple-legacy students – meaning their mother and grandmother also attended the school – along with 14 additional students who have a parent or grandparent as an alumna. Maryvale Preparatory School in Lutherville noted approximately 20 legacy families among this year’s graduates.

The archdiocese’s Catholic high schools also recognized valedictorians, salutatorians and academic award winners across the Class of 2026.
