Former Catholic High nurse/art teacher dies at 92 October 10, 2022By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries A funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister Joseph Brennion will be offered Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Joseph died Oct. 8. She was 92 and had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 71 years. Born in Boston, Sister Joseph earned a bachelor’s degree in art education from The Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in art education from what is now Towson University. She ministered primarily in healthcare, education and social services. In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Sister Joseph ministered as a nurse and art teacher for The Catholic High School of Baltimore for 13 years. She also served in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
