Oblate Sister Lucia Quesada dies at 96 November 19, 2024By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries A funeral Mass was held Nov. 13 for Oblate Sister of Providence Lucia Quesada, who died Nov. 3. She was 96 and had served as an Oblate sister for more than 70 years. Born in Camaguey, Cuba, she entered the Oblate Sisters of Providence Sept. 14, 1951. Among her assignments, Sister Lucia was a prefect at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore and worked with children at Mount Providence Child Development Center in Baltimore.
