Research over the last several years has shown that a majority of Catholics don’t believe that the Eucharist is the true Body and Blood of Jesus. One researcher wanted to find out if wording the question more accurately could affect the response. Catholic Review Editor Christopher Gunty talked with Hans Plate, founder and president of Vinea Research, about the new study the firm released showing that about 60 percent of Massgoers believe in the Real Presence.
