Sister Anne Dorice DeFebbo, O.S.F., taught nursing in Towson July 2, 2020By Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries Sister Anne Dorice DeFebbo, a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 48 years who taught nursing in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, died May 18, a few days before her 73rd birthday, at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, and raised in Weirton, W.Va., she professed her first vows in 1972. Sister Anne Dorice earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Neumann University and a master’s Medical-Surgical Nursing from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She ministered primarily in healthcare as well as pastoral, parish, and social service ministries. During her nine years in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, she ministered at St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Towson as an instructor. Sister Anne Dorice ministered for 13 years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia; for four years at St. Francis Hospital in the Diocese of Wilmington; and in St. John’s, Antigua, and the Dominican Republic.
