Sister Helen Mary Reynolds, O.S.F., dies at 87 November 9, 2022By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries An 11 a.m. funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister Helen Mary Reynolds will be offered Nov. 16 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Helen Mary died Nov. 7. She was 87 and had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 64 years. Sister Helen Mary was born Mary Ellen Reynolds in Baltimore, where she was a member of St. Paul Parish and a graduate of The Catholic High School of Baltimore. She entered the congregation in 1956 and professed her first vows in 1958. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Villanova University and a master’s degree in religious studies from St. Charles Seminary. She ministered primarily in elementary education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
