A funeral Mass was offered Aug. 19 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa., for Sister Margaret St. Hugh Keenan. A professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 69 years, she died Aug. 13, at age 90.

A native of Philadelphia, she entered the congregation in 1949, professed her first vows in 1951 and earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg. She ministered primarily in education, for nearly 30 years in the Diocese of Wilmington, Del.; for nine years in the Archdiocese of Washington; and for two in the  Archdiocese of Baltimore, where she taught at St. Vincent School.
