St. Elizabeth Ann Seton statue finds new home in Emmitsburg

A large statue of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton that previously stood on the grounds of two now-closed Catholic schools has a new home at Mother Seton School in Emmitsburg, where it sits in the school’s annex surrounded by flowers.

A funeral Mass was offered Sept. 12 for School Sister of Notre Dame Judith Schaum, a teacher and administrator at several schools in her native Baltimore who also served as a longtime assistant superintendent of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. She died Sept. 4 at age 85.
