A funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Marietta Culhane will be offered 11 a.m. Jan. 10 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Marietta died Jan. 6. She was 94 and had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 71 years.

Former President Jimmy Carter died Dec. 29 at his home in Plains, Georgia, his presidential library announced. At 100, Carter, who had been in hospice care since February 2023, was the longest-living U.S. president.
