Sister Carmel Grice, O.S.F., dies at 92 April 8, 2022By Catholic Review Staff Catholic Review Filed Under: Local News, News, Obituaries A funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister Carmel Grice will be offered at 11 a.m. on April 12 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Carmel (formerly Sister Marie Perpetua) died April 6. She was 92 and a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 68 years. Sister Carmel was born in Dublin, Ireland. She entered the congregation in 1951 and professed her first vows in 1954. In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Sister Carmel spent eight years serving as a chaplain and cafeteria coordinator at what is now University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson. She also ministered in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
