Dozens of student athletes from area Catholic and independent elementary and middle schools participated in the 31st Youth Bowl May 4 at Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore.

Benedictine College welcomed 19 young men and women into the Catholic Church on Divine Mercy Sunday, 17 of whom were student athletes.

The BCL, which hosts the longest-running postseason basketball tournament in Maryland, announced April 18 that St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis would join the league for the 2024-25 season as an associate member.

Greg Eversole eventually became one of the most successful high school baseball coaches in the state at St. Maria Goretti Regional Catholic High School, which is closing at the end of this year. He was enshrined in the Maryland State Athletic Association Hall of Fame in January.
