New Priests 2023

Deacon Sampson Onwumere, who will be ordained a priest of the Baltimore Archdiocese June 24 at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Homeland, said he is most looking forward to the pastoral aspect of his vocation.

Deacon Mwai left the monastery to come to the East Coast, where he saw the life of the church in Maryland and was attracted to it.

Deacon Koski, the eldest of four siblings, grew up in several parishes. He was baptized at St. Thomas More in Baltimore, received his first Communion at St. Joseph in Fullerton and was confirmed at St. Isaac Jogues in Carney.

As a priest, Deacon Kongnyuy says his primary role will be as a teacher and evangelizer who shares the word of God at every opportunity.

Deacon John Bilenki always has looked upon family as a blessing, and it’s the familial aspects of prayer and the church that are at the forefront of the seminarian’s thoughts as he prepares for life as a priest in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

As a fourth-year seminarian, Deacon Daniel Acquard finds himself drawn to the “unique stories” of those to whom he ministers.
