Josephite Father Daniel Bastianelli dies at 90

A funeral Mass for Josephite Father Daniel Bastianelli will be offered Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter Claver/St. Pius V in West Baltimore. Father Bastianelli died Oct. 28 at Carroll Manor in Washington, D.C. He was 90.

Born in Pennsylvania, Father Bastianelli entered the Josephite novitiate in 1957. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1964.

In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Father Bastianelli was associate pastor of St. Peter Claver for several months following his ordination. He then served as associate pastor of St. Francis Xavier in Baltimore from 1964 to 1965. Elsewhere, he ministered in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Washington, D.C.
