A funeral Mass for Carmelite Sister Patricia of Jesus (Patricia Ann Scanlan) was offered Jan. 31 at the Carmelite Monastery in Towson. Sister Patricia died Jan. 19 at Stella Maris in Timonium. She was 92 years old and had been a member of the Carmelite Sisters of Baltimore for 74 years.

A funeral Mass for Daughter of Charity Sister Ann Paul (Barbara) Chenard was offered Feb. 4 at St. Louise House in Albany, N.Y. Sister Ann Paul died Jan. 30. She was 96.

A funeral Mass was offered Jan. 28 for Sister Mercia Delgado, a member of the Oblate Sisters of Providence for 67 years. She died Jan. 17 at age 93. 

A funeral Mass for Oblate Sister of Providence Eleanor Marie Wedge was offered Jan. 8 at her religious community’s motherhouse in Arbutus. Sister Eleanor Marie died Dec. 23. She was 89.

A funeral Mass for Marianist Brother Andrew Joseph “Joe” Barrish was offered Jan. 28 at Queen of Apostles Chapel in Beavercreek, Ohio. Brother Joe died Jan. 20. He was 95 and had served 77 years in religious life.

A funeral Mass for School Sister of Notre Dame Kathleen Marcella Kelly was offered Oct. 24 at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh. Sister Kathleen died Oct. 17. She was 92.

A funeral Mass for School Sister of Notre Dame Ann Elizabeth (Mary Benedictus) Hartnett was offered Nov. 19 at Villa Assumpta in Baltimore. Sister Ann died Nov. 7 at Stella Maris. She was 88.

A funeral Mass for Adrian Dominican Sister Sarah Ann Sharkey, formerly known as Sister John Peter, was offered Nov. 26 at St. Catherine Chapel in Adrian, Mich. Sister Sarah Ann died Nov. 19. She was 83 and in the 64th year of her religious profession.

Excommunicated traditionalist Bishop Richard N. Williamson died Jan. 29 in a hospital in Margate, England, at the age of 84 after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

Redemptorist Father Patrick Flynn, who served the parish of St. Mary in Annapolis for nearly two decades, died  Jan. 14 in his native South Africa. He was 83.
