On Fridays, we might not eat meat,
But still we have a special treat
In tuna with its sheer appeal
That brings delight to any meal.
From sea to can to dinner plate,
A tuna feast is quite first-rate.
Eat it chilled on honey wheat,
Tomato, too? That can’t be beat.
Serve it up with melted cheese,
Toss some Old Bay on the breeze.
Use rye or wheat or just plain white.
Your sandwich will be out of sight.
Crush chips on top for tuna pie.
Serve casseroles that make folks sigh.
It’s silky smooth, but textured too,
With tangy flavor through and through.
“It smells like fish,” some bloke might say,
“And that scent just won’t go away.”
Well, tuna, comes and comes to stay
And tuna doesn’t come to play.
Sometimes it’s pink, sometimes it’s white,
But always tuna’s just so right.
Keep your steak and caviar
And wish upon a tin-can star.
Add salty chips, a pickle too.
Your tuna dreams will all come true.
