Brother Rodney served as a religion teacher at Mount St. Joseph High School in Irvington from 1967 to 1970. He was acting principal at Mount St. Joseph for the 1988-89 academic year. He held a bachelor’s degree from the University Of Detroit and master’s degrees from St. John’s University and Bowie State University.

Exactly one week after Baltimore bid a somber farewell to Baltimore City EMT-Firefighter Rodney Pitts III, thousands returned to the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen Nov. 3 to pay tribute to Baltimore City Fire Department Captain Dillon J. Rinaldo.

A funeral Mass for Redemptorist Brother Raphael Rock was offered Oct. 23 at Sacred Heart of Jesus-Sagrado Corazón de Jesus in Highlandtown. Brother Raphael died Oct. 13 at the St. John Neumann Residence, Timonium. He was 91.

Deacon Carl Anderson, who was so devoted to his parish that his daughter called it his second home, died Oct. 8 following a stroke. He was 78.

Father John P. Cunningham, former pastor of St. Thomas More in Baltimore and St. Jane Frances de Chantal in Riviera Beach, is being remembered as a faithful priest whose insatiable intellectual curiosity gave him an encyclopedic knowledge of a wide range of subjects.
