Andrew “Andy” Ciofalo, founder of what would become the communications department at Loyola University Maryland and a longtime member of the board of directors of the Cathedral Foundation that once oversaw the Catholic Review, died March 7 in Moscow.

Deacon William “Bill” Fallon, a deacon in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for nearly 40 years, died March 7 at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Center in Baltimore. He was 82.

A funeral Mass for Conventual Franciscan Brother Gerald “Gerry” Seipp will be offered March 18 at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City. The Baltimore native died March 11 in Granby, Conn. He was 80.

A funeral Mass for School Sister of Notre Dame Margaret J. Bauer will be offered March 15, 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick on what would have been her 105th birthday. Sister Margaret, a beloved member of the community in Frederick, died March 9 at Stella Maris Nursing Home in Timonium.

An 11 a.m. funeral Mass for Daughter of Charity Sister Maria Gnerro will be offered March 27 at Villa St. Michael in Emmitsburg. Sister Maria died Feb. 19. She was 92.

Father William Warman Jr., a priest remembered for his deep spirituality and his sensitivity in healthcare ministry, died Feb. 23 in Timonium. He was 85.

Frances Marie Whitney, the mother of Auxiliary Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., died March 2 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was 79.

Jesuit Father Frank R. Haig, a beloved professor of physics at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore and a former president of two Jesuit universities, died Feb. 28.

Sister Mary Charlotte Marshall, who served as superior general of her religious community from 1981 to 1989, died Feb. 23. She was 96 and had served 80 years in consecrated life.

A funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister Barbara Barry will be offered March 8 at St. Francis Convent in St. Francis, Wis. Sister Barbara (formerly known as Sister Agnes) died Jan. 27. She was 89.
