February 1, 2018
By Father Joseph Breighner
Filed Under: Commentary, Wit & Wisdom

By Emily Rosenthal Alster
Filed Under: Amen, Commentary, Western Vicariate

When we choose to stay in our own little world, it’s not because we are hateful or uneducated or racist. Some like the hustle, bustle and skyline. I’ll take the calm, rolling hills and serenity.

The thin green line

December 11, 2017
By Paul McMullen
Filed Under: Amen, Amen McMullen Commentary, Commentary, Local News

We are powerless, conversely, to stop acts of nature – God. We are, however, in position to help with the cleanup caused by both the divine and humanity.

Encouraging news on abortion

December 7, 2017
By Richard Doerflinger

Supporters of legalized abortion used to agree that abortion should be “rare.” They don’t say it so much nowadays. Maybe they now realize that reducing abortions will require discouraging abortion.

The anticipation of Advent

By Rita Buettner
