Father John P. Cunningham, former pastor of St. Thomas More in Baltimore and St. Jane Frances de Chantal in Riviera Beach, is being remembered as a faithful priest whose insatiable intellectual curiosity gave him an encyclopedic knowledge of a wide range of subjects.

In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Father Allen served for a year as an assistant chaplain at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore. He was chaplain at Good Samaritan from 1982 to 2000. He also served as superior of the Ferdinand Wheeler House in Baltimore for three years.

Margaret Lori, mother of Archbishop William E. Lori, died Sept. 3 in New Albany, Ind. She was 103 years old.

A funeral Mass for Trinitarian Father Thomas Burke was offered Aug. 14 at St. Lawrence Martyr in Hanover. Father Burke died Aug. 11. He was 71.
