The light-hearted tone of the stylish comic spy yarn “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre” (Lionsgate) suggests that it should be approached in an equally relaxed mood.

“Creed III,” the ninth film in the “Rocky” series, is a thinking-person’s sports drama that will appeal even to those with no particular interest in well-choreographed slugfests.

Refreshingly free of the usual objectionable ingredients, this generally appealing Evangelically flavored look back at a somewhat surprising chapter in Baby Boomer history is doctrinally dodgy but ethically uplifting.

As scripted by Jimmy Warden, director Elizabeth Banks’ dark comedy, “Cocaine Bear,” starts out as an amusing ensemble piece about eccentric characters brought into contact by bizarre circumstances.

As suggested by its rather cumbersome title, there’s a lot going on in “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” (Disney). Unfortunately, the film, while free of gore and any really problematic material, ultimately adds up to less than the sum of its parts.

While this latest “Magic Mike” outing focuses more on tripping the light fantastic than undressing, sleazy behavior and wayward underlying values make it unacceptable nonetheless.

A bunch of talented stars headline the comedy “80 for Brady” (Paramount). But they’re left becalmed by the inertia of this going-through-the-motions paean to football fandom.

It may be the end of the world as we know it in “Knock at the Cabin.” But, unlike R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, no one in this offbeat but effective thriller feels fine.
