Jesuit Father George Restrepo, who served more than three decades at the Shrine of the Little Flower in Northeast Baltimore and later at St. Thomas Aquinas in Hampden, died the day after his 87th birthday Dec. 20 at the Murray-Weigel Jesuit Community in the Bronx.

Father Joseph F. Krastel, whose ministry as a Redemptorist priest took him to academia, the Carribean, Eastern Europe, South America and back to his roots in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, died Nov. 22, eight days prior to his 82nd birthday.

Father Dennis Diehl, a Cumberland native who lent his communications and liturgical expertise to coverage of St. John Paul II’s 1995 visit to Baltimore and then led St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Fulton through two decades of growth, died Oct. 9.
