Catholics and gender ideology

George WeigelSeptember 24, 20254 min read
Bishop Thomas does not hesitate to tell two important truths. First, gender ideology proposes a false idea of our humanity: one that denies the biblical truth about us, reduces us to mere bundles of morally equal desires, and does serious damage to individuals and society. Second, gender dysphoria causes real suffering, but there is no clinical evidence that “transitioning” yields long-term mental health benefits.

What the church really teaches about evolution

Benjamin WikerSeptember 20, 202514 min read
The Catholic Church doesn’t reject evolution, because it doesn’t reject — but, in fact, welcomes — any legitimate scientific inquiry. Science studies nature, and the truth of creation can never contradict the truth of the Creator.

Rebuilding the domestic church: Why housing affordability is a pro-family cause

Jason AdkinsSeptember 19, 20255 min read
If, as the church teaches, the family is the fundamental building block of a healthy society, then we cannot ignore how economic structures, especially the cost of housing, influence family life.

A heroic example

George WeigelSeptember 18, 20254 min read
America needs the example of a real hero: a dedicated hero who enhances natural talents by hard work and takes pride in a craft; an unselfish hero who places team above self.

Walking with purpose

Mark VivianoSeptember 18, 20254 min read
Megan approaches life more carefully and slowly, with deeper appreciation and stronger faith. She used to listen to podcasts about running and fitness, but now it’s Scripture readings and reflections during daily walks through our neighborhood.
Timely reflections on holiness

Timely reflections on holiness

Michael R. HeinleinSeptember 18, 20254 min read
Each of the stories of the saints, as Leo put it, all started when “they said ‘yes’ to God and gave themselves to him completely, keeping nothing for themselves.”
