The Baltimore CCHD committee chairperson said the Nov. 16-17 collection in parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Baltimore is a vital funding source for the local Catholic Campaign for Human Development chapter.

A funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Frances Schiminsky (formerly Sister Ann Philip), will be offered Oct. 25 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Frances died Oct. 21. She was 95 and had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 76 years.

After 18 months of planning, the official launch of the Baltimore chapter of Young Catholic Professionals is ready to go with a party at the Baltimore Museum of Industry Oct. 24.

The garden is the first in the Archdiocese of Baltimore to be dedicated to persecuted Christians and to those who served in the Armed forces past and present, according to Father George, who blessed it Sept. 28.
