Dr. Donna Hargens, the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s outgoing superintendent of Catholic schools, received a citation Jan. 28 from the Maryland General Assembly during the Maryland Catholic Conference Leader Reception in Annapolis.

Brother Andrew Joseph Barrish, S.M., dies at 95

A funeral Mass for Marianist Brother Andrew Joseph “Joe” Barrish was offered Jan. 28 at Queen of Apostles Chapel in Beavercreek, Ohio. Brother Joe died Jan. 20. He was 95 and had served 77 years in religious life.

A funeral Mass for Adrian Dominican Sister Sarah Ann Sharkey, formerly known as Sister John Peter, was offered Nov. 26 at St. Catherine Chapel in Adrian, Mich. Sister Sarah Ann died Nov. 19. She was 83 and in the 64th year of her religious profession.
