Nearly 20,000 conference participants have converged in St. Louis at the America’s Center Convention Complex for the Jan. 1-5 SEEK24 conference held by the Fellowship of Catholic University Students.

While at first glance an interest in magic or even the occult might look like just harmless fun, Catholics should be aware of what the church teaches about such things and the real dangers associated with what Pope Francis often refers to as “bad spirits.”

Ave Maria University is now offering “The Pursuit of Wisdom,” a series of free online courses presented by university faculty that provides practical wisdom and insights on interesting topics and themes to help Catholics contemplate the true, good and beautiful.

Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend urged the board of trustees of St. Mary’s College to correct a new admissions policy that “departs from fundamental Catholic teaching on the nature of woman.”
