A funeral Mass for Sister Mary Ann Mulzet, a member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia who taught at The John Carroll School in Bel Air, was offered Dec. 28 at St. Joseph Villa in Philadelphia. Sister Mary Ann died Dec 19. She was 84.

Sister Anna Mae Coll, O.S.F. dies at 98

An 11 a.m. funeral Mass for Franciscan Sister Anna Mae Coll, formerly Sister James Bernard, will be offered Jan. 24 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa. Sister Anna Mae died Jan. 20. She was 98 and had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 77 years.

A 10 a.m. funeral Mass for Sister Catherine Ann Gilvary, a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary who was formerly known as Sister Mary St. Martin, will be offered Jan. 25 at the IHM Center in Dunmore, Pa. Sister Catherine Ann died Jan. 16. She was 87.

Millersville deacon suspended from ministry after allegation

The judge overseeing the Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization of the Archdiocese of Baltimore issued an order Jan. 16 that approved a May 31 deadline for claims to be submitted, along with the form to be used by those who wish to make a claim for damages relating to sexual abuse of a minor by clergy or other personnel in the archdiocese.

Franciscan Sister Joanne Schatzlein, director of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in Wisconsin, called it “truly a gift of God” that the Ellicott City-based Our Lady of the Angels Province of the Conventual Francisicans has taken over sponsorship of the Franciscan Center in Baltimore from the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.
