The Women’s Education Alliance, which serves Catholic schools in Baltimore City in underprivileged communities, hired veteran principal Valerie A. Sandoval as its director of student outcomes and program evaluation.

History came alive an annual fifth-grade class project at St. Mary Catholic School in Hagerstown, known as the “Wax Museum.” After several weeks of research and preparation, students dressed up as their given historical figure, stationed themselves around the school’s gym on May 24 and prepared to educate the museum’s guests.

The transition from middle school to high school can be daunting. Recent issues with COVID-19 only added to those challenges for students.
