Monsignor James Farmer, a close friend of Bishop Galeone who gave the homily at his funeral, remembers the life and legacy of Bishop Galeone. Monsignor Farmer is the administrator of Immaculate Conception in Towson.

Jesuit Father James N. Gelson, a former pastor of St. Ignatius in Baltimore died June 5. He was 94.

Bishop Emeritus Victor Galeone, a former Archdiocese of Baltimore priest who served as the ninth bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine, Fla., died May 29 at St. Martin’s Home for the Aged in Catonsville. He was 87.
